![]() ![]() I've googled around and people ask the same questions but I have yet to see any solution.Īlternatively: Is there a way to change the MIDI IN selection of a track via MIDI (even max for live)? That way I could have my lemur controller just set the MIDI IN only for the tracks I want to actually play via my hardware keyboard. The question: is there a proper way to both GET and SET the arm state of a track via MIDI? I know I can toggle it, but that makes it so that I have to ensure the initial state of my Lemur template matches that of my live set, which is obnoxious. I'd like to toggle the session overdub button and record overdubs into clips, but with the current setup, midi input would be overdubbed into ALL currently playing MIDI clips. Windows : \Users\ username\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live x.x. Download Auto Arm Options.txt Options.zip Downloaded 4648 times 179 B For reference I’ve included the proper file locations as well. This isn't ideal though as leaving all 8 tracks armed isn't so nice when it comes to overdubbing into clips. You can either create the options.txt file yourself and drop it in the proper location, or you can download it below. This is also nice as Ableton will send OUT the CC value of the current state so that my Lemur template is updated (showing current state and not getting out of sync). This works great - I can select which track(s) I hear by sending the CC value for setting the track to AUTO (which will then monitor input as the track is armed). Control Surfaces are scripts provided by the manufacturers of the devices which allow certain controllers to interface with Live. Use a Control Surface (if available) If your device has a natively supported control surface, it will automatically activate once you launch Live. Exit MIDI Map Mode by pressing the MIDI switch once again. You will see that this new MIDI mapping is now listed in the Mapping Browser. Send a MIDI message by pressing a keyboard key, turning a knob, etc., on your MIDI controller. Global usage is also possible by using ReaLearn as monitoring FX. Click on the Live parameter that you’d like to control via MIDI. My current solution: have the "monitor" radio buttons mapped to a CC with corresponding buttons on my lemur template that send the value for either "OFF" or "AUTO", and leave all 8 MIDI tracks armed to record. There are two possible ways of configuring a MIDI controller in Live: 1. REAPER itself has a built-in MIDI/OSC learn functionality but it only provides the. I want to be able to (live, in real time), select which track(s) the keyboard is controlling via MIDI (on a iPad running lemur, to be exact). Currently I have a single hardware MIDI keyboard (MPK mini) that I use to play 8 different soft synths / drum racks. ![]()
